Samuel Eto'o elected President of Cameroon Football Federation
Former striker Samuel Eto'o has been elected President of the Cameroon Football Federation.

The announcement was made by Fecafoot on Saturday.
The ex Barcelona and Inter Milan sharpshooter got 43 votes. Eto'o beat acting president Seidou Mbombo Njoya, who got 31.
After the victory, Samuel Eto'o said: “I’ll be remembering today as one of the proudest moments of my life. I’m deeply grateful to be elected as the new president of Fecafoot.
“Every single vote represents the energy and ambition of our football family to take our beloved sport to a level we’ve never seen before. Let’s get to work.”

In January, Cameroon will host the Africa Cup Of Nations (Afcon), a tournament which was delayed by a year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
