Salah close to Ronaldo level - Jota

Following his beautiful form since the beginning of the season, Liverpool Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah has earned comparisons to one of the game's big names.

Portugal international Diogo Jota believes Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah is nigh the level of Cristiano Ronaldo who currently plays for Manchester United.

For Liverpool, Salah has netted 15 times after 14 appearances and this places him top of the club's charts as well as the highest number of assist of 6 in the club.

Salah's efforts has helped the Reds to a spot that makes them a tough title contender in the Premier League, also secure a place in the knockouts of the Uefa Champions League with two preliminary games unplayed.

About the Egyptian, Jota told SkySports: “A great player, world class. He is showing his technique to the world this season.

“He is scoring goals for fun. Great goals, individual goals, and for us this is helpful because we have someone on the field who can decide the game, and for the opponents they are too worried about him,"

Jota, who was a former forward for Wolverhampton Wanderers, further said: “I had that first feeling when I played for the national team with Ronaldo and I think I can put him (Salah) up there to the same standards, though Ronaldo has been doing it for a very long time.”

Is Salah's achievements in the game truly close to Ronaldo's level?
