Kuwait SC terminate Mikel Obi's contract

Kuwait Sports Club has terminated former Nigeria midfielder John Obi Mikel's contract after four months at the club.

The club made the announcement on social media in a post that it has terminated Mikel's contract after four months.


The ex Super Eagles star moved to Kuwait SC at the start of the season and signed a one-year contract with the Kuwait-based football outfit.


After his stay at Stoke City, Mikel moved to Kuwait SC where he was appointed Captain of the team, however, never made any appearance for the team till his contract was terminated.
