If 'Manchester United were serious, they would have appointed Conte' - Parker

Former Manchester United full-back Paul Parker is of the belief that the club may regret not appointing Italian pro Manager Antonio Conte.

Antonio Conte recently signed a new contract with Tottenham Hotspur to become the club's new head coach after leaving Italian top flight giants Inter Milan.

Paul Parker described Conte as the Coach with the "best CV at the moment" while criticizing Manchester United for not being "serious" when it comes to decision making.

The former Red Devils defender told EuroSport: “Manchester United have missed a trick by not appointing Antonio Conte. They would have taken him if they were serious about making a change.

“When someone like Conte is available, a club with aspirations can’t miss out. The Italian has the best CV out there at the moment, and if you look at what he’s achieved at every club he’s managed then you can see that Spurs have found a winner.”

Do you think Antonio Conte has the "best CV at the moment"?

• If appointed as Manchester United Manager, will he succeed?
