2022 Fifa World Cup Play-off Draw (Caf) - Nigeria to know opponent next year
The draw for the 2022 Fifa World Cup play-offs (Caf) has been postponed to next year after a decision by the Confederation of African Football (Caf) at the extraordinary assembly.

Initially, the draw was scheduled for 18 December 2021 but will now take place on 26 January 2022.

According to the decision, the January 2022 rankings will be used to seed the teams for the draw.
Top five ranked teams at the time of the draw will seeded and will paired against the other five unseeded countries.

The 10 group winners will be drawn into five head-to-head, two-legged ties to earn one of the five places at the World Cup. Fixtures to be played in March 2022.
The draw will take place on Jan. 26, with the pots as follows:
Seeded: Senegal, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Nigeria
Unseeded: Egypt, Cameroon, Ghana, Mali, DR Congo
