'He's one of the best and absolutely immense' - Solskjaer hails Ronaldo

Manchester United head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said he hasn't seen any negativity in signing Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo to the club.

The Norwegian boss defended Ronaldo by saying the forward remains "one of the best players" on earth, as well as he is "pleased" with the playmaker's impact so far.

36-year old Ronaldo made a comeback to the Old Trafford in the summer from Juventus and has netted nine times after fourteen games this season.

Solskjaer said: "He's one of the best players that has ever walked on this planet.

"His impact so far has been absolutely immense. He scores goals, he works for his team. He's a top professional."

Solskjaer has refused to accept that Ronaldo is a "negative" signing to the Red Devils.

He said: "How people can say that's a negative, I can't see that one.

"We're really pleased he has started as well as he has."

Manchester United will welcome Manchester City in a premier league match on Saturday 6 November at 12:30pm.
