This takes it to three losses for Manchester United in four encounters.
Portuguese midfield maestro Bruno Fernandes lost a golden chance to level for the home side after blasting an additional time penalty over the bar following Hause' handling of the ball in the area.
With this outcome, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side missed the chance to go top of the Premier League table and now sits fourth, however, level on points with Chelsea and Manchester City.
